If your spoken English is fluent and you need certified proof of your skills for a university course, a new job or just for personal reasons, then the prep. training for the Cambridge English: Advanced Exam (CAE) is the course for you. Willingness to do reading and written homework is pre-supposed, so that during class-time the focus can be on refining your spoken and listening skill repertoire. In addition, grammatical nuances, use of a wider range of phrasal verb expressions as well as specific exam techniques will also receive attention. Since this is an ongoing course, new participants can join at any time without returning students having to repeat lessons previously covered. Please bring the textbook to class! An individual counselling session is compulsory prior to an initial enrolment to assess language levels. After registering for this course, you will be contacted by vhs officials to set up an appointment. Returning students need only to indicate the previous semester's course number. Prerequisite: at least nine years of English or rather C1 level.
